I have been thinking about the concept of time and the relationship we have with time. On one hand we can agree that time is an illusion, time is not real concept, only a man made thing. Time become a tool that only help us to organize our physical life or just to stress us out because we find ourselves in moments in life running out of time. Time, as we grow up become the master that control us. Kids, by observation, has no attachment to the concept of time. Good example with kids regarding not having understanding how time works, is if you tell them that in a certain hour you will take them to eat ice cream or see a movie, and how many times they will come and ask “is it time for us to go now”, and you find your self repeating or being creative of how they will learn to understand to look at time. For kids time move slow, after all, they never want to sleep, or they want to keep in a certain activity even when they have been plenty of time in that activity . As we grow up, as we understand the connection between us and time, for the most of it we don’t realize how we become slaves around time and there is never enough time. The day at work move quickly and we don’t have enough time to finish or complete chores from one day to another and so the week goes by fast. Sometimes it seems as if as we grow up, we are loosing time to do what we want. I am sure that you have heard about the fact that one year of a dog is equal to 7 years of a human being. The explanation mainly provide in the fast physical changes that a dog is having in one year, which can look like 7 years for a human. There for, a dog see you in a slower speed then you see the dog. very interesting thought and the concept of time is a mystery. Time goes slower when we are young because everything is new and we need time to digest the experience, and as we grow older everything has been changing and not enough time to experience, so we find ourselves sometimes switching to autopilot just because we know what is going to happen and we try to move against the direction of many experiences. The trick is to try out new things so we don’t switch to autopilot. For the soul, the freedom to move between the past or the future is in a level that you cannot compare with the time line that your physical body experiences new things. Your soul is independent from that concept of time and has the control to move between realities that only seems as imagination for your physical personal awareness. How can we grow up but still not care so much about time, just like children with freedom to do like there is no tomorrow? By nurturing the soul with its vital needs that aren’t physical.
